Give Back with Get Back: Concrete Queenz

Concrete Queenz is on a mission to empower girls in their very own, unique way. 

What began as a teacher led passion project/after school skate club with 12 participants has grown into a non-profit organization that serves 50 participants across 2 school sites by providing weekly after school skateboarding programming to girls located in the heart of South Los Angeles (read more about their story and their mission HERE).

 

 

Not only does Concrete Queenz provide a safe, inclusive environment for girls to learn how to skateboard, they also provide a community and a space for those girls to grow their confidence, learn leadership skills, and understand the value of teamwork and communication.  

Our friends at Concrete Queenz are on a mission to serve even more female athletes and become a leading voice for gender equality and social justice in the skateboarding community and beyond.

This month, Concrete Queenz is gearing up for their first ever Giving Tuesday event on 11/28 -- you can read more about their event HERE! Now is prime time to support the movement and give what you can to help fund 2024 projects for the Concrete Queenz team. Not only will you be supporting the empowerment of underserved girls in South LA through skateboarding, there are also some other pretty sweet perks: 

 

 

Donating $50? receive No-Rinse Hair Wash from @unsubscribe.co (valued at $35)

Donating $100? receive a two-month supply of No-Rinse Hair Wash by @unsubscribe.co (valued at $55).

Donating $150? receive a two-month supply of No-Rinse Hair Wash (valued at $55), + our very own Gold Oval St. Christopher, and a personalized thank you note from our Concrete Queenz.

Donating $200? receive a two month supply of No-Rinse Hair Wash (valued at $55), a Small Aqua / White Sterling Silver St. Christopher (valued at $75), and a personalized thank you note from our Concrete Queenz.

 

SOOO, you might be wondering... what will these donations fund??

 

$200 will go towards food for a CQ event

$450 helps the CQ team get a skate ramp

$350 will sponsor a Concrete Queen with a skateboard, helmet, pads, and skate shoes (!!!)

$1,200 will help CQ help plan a & fund a field trip

$10,000 will help support the salaries of the CQ staff so that their program is sustainable and expandable
